The best way to install an operating system nowadays is from a USB drive. It's much faster and reliable than an optical disc. For this purpose, AutoBootDisk can help you create a bootable USB drive, with an operating system of your choice. The operation is as simple as it can be, even for novice users. All you have to do is follow a few simple instructions and you're done.

AutoBootDisk is absolutely free and you can have it up and running on your computer in no time. At the moment of writing, it is only available for Windows platforms, but other versions, for Mac OS X and Linux, are well on their way. The application can be launched immediately after the installation process is complete, without having to meet any special requirements.

Creating a bootable USB drive can be done in two ways: Automatic or Custom. If you have the setup package for your own operating system as an ISO image, you can opt for the Custom methods. All you have to do is select the image file, choose a destination drive and start the operation. Depending on the operating system, it may take some time to finish the job, but the software won't asking you for any further input.

If you wish to install a Linux distribution, AutoBootDisk can help you even further, if you opt for the Automatic method. The process is similar with the Custom method, but it involves an extra step. The software can download a Linux of your choice and save it as an ISO image. You can pick one of many Linux distributions in a drop-down menu and the software will take it from there. Once the ISO is downloaded, you can proceed to create your bootable USB drive.

Regardless of what operating system you wish to install on your computer, AutoBootDisk will help you create a bootable installation USB drive as quickly and easily as possible.

Pros

You can create bootable USB drives with any operating system. The process is straightforward and easy to carry out. The software can download numerous Linux distributions for you.

Cons

There are no obvious drawbacks to mention.
